BCA is a three-year undergraduate computing degree and the most practical route into software work for students who did not take Mathematics-heavy entrance exams. The syllabus covers programming, databases, web development, networking and software engineering.
Most colleges admit on Class 12 marks, which makes BCA far more accessible than B.Tech CSE. What you get out of it depends almost entirely on how much you build outside the syllabus — the degree opens the door, your projects get you hired.
